A Bestiary, 2013–14
Multi-channel video installation (16mm film transfered to digita; color; sound; dimensions and durations vary).
Each screen depicts tightly cropped foorage of an animal tattoo from the body of a fighter. The footage is recorded while the fighter is training or fighting and the sequence is animated, frame by frame, in order to isolate and stabilize the animal within the frame. The footage is projected on reflective gold-leaf screens held on a scaffold-like structure.
